Dear Parents/Guardians,
When adverse weather conditions warrant, the Philadelphia Parochial and Public Schools may have to close early. Neither the Pastor nor the Principal of Our Lady of Consolation makes this decision. We, like you, must listen to the local media outlets for the announcement. Please listen to KYW for the announced closing time. Our Lady of Consolation School will close at that announced time. If the announced closing time occurs during the Lunch Period, students who normally go home for lunch will be asked to stay home. Parents/Guardians should not pick up students before the announced closing time. This helps prevent further disruptions for the children. Do not call the school or rectory. Please check the “Special Announcements” page of our web site for details. Please note: In the event of early dismissal CARES will be cancelled.
Every child should be aware of what he/she should do in the event of an emergency early school closing. Every child must also hand in the EMERGENCY EARLY SCHOOL CLOSING PLAN FORM to her/his teacher by Friday, September 7th.
